Article 5 Salon & Boutique Opening Celebration

In the hopes of finding a new and funky hairstylist who can give me a haircut other than the "Charleston Straight Cut", I decided to attend the grand opening party of Article 5 Salon & Boutique...and I'm glad that I did. The Salon was very cute...mini chandeliers adorned the ceiling, a large selection of various styling products stocked the shelves as well as an assortment of other great items for sale like hand-made jewelry and head-pieces made from vintage feathers (by "Treats for Tresses"). The Article 5 stylists were on hand to mingle and give current and potential clients the low-down on the new space. The salon was stocked with yummies provided by Cafe Paradiso and Cupcake, and a bartender was on hand to serve up some fab libations. They gave away 2 gift baskets filled with styling products, flat-irons, blow dryers, and more!...which I was sad to not have won. All-in-all it was a great and succesful night!

**Check out Article 5 Salon & Boutique at 320 1/2 King St. in downtown Charleston, SC . For additional info. check out their website Article 5.

FASHIONISTA FINDS: Top Secret Bras

I recently discovered these fab bras by a line called Top Secret...and I must say I'm a little obsessed. Created by two sisters from Miami, these bra tops come in a variety of fun colors and sweet lacy fabrics designed with the idea that the bras were meant to be seen! I wear a lot of dresses and tops that are flowy, off-the-shoulder, racer-back, and low-back...so these bras would be perfect! My uncomfortable and faux fab strapless and sports bras have met their match! My favorite styles are the "Sexy Back", "Lacey's Secret", and "Wild thing".
-The "Lacey's Secret" bra is great under everyday tanks and off-the-shoulder tops. They feature super cute lacy straps so in this case it's ok if your bra straps so!
- The "Sexy Back" bra is perfect for racer-back tops or low-back
dresses.
- The "Wild Thing" is a super sexy bandeau with a snakeskin print and is made to wear under...well, anything.
All of the bra tops are made with Supplex®, a super supportive stretch material that will be sure to keep "the girls" in check.

Red Carpet Recap: 2009 Emmy's

From red hot trends, to baby bumps, to fashion hits and haute messes. Check out my fashion recap of the 2009 Emmy's.

Ladies is red...

Jennifer Love Hewitt with beau in tow in a canary yellow concoction. Simple dress...yes, but very figure flattering. Good job Love.

A raving blue beauty.

...and the award for"Haute Mess Dress" goes to...need I say more.

A stunning silver fox.

Best dressed of the night goes to Mrs. Klum. How can someone who is about to "pop" look so beautiful and fit...oh yeah that's right, because it's Hiedi freaking Klum!
Chloes one shoulder ensemble takes on a vintage spin.

This is not a favorite look of mine. It makes me think 80's wedding dress meets ice skating costume. But hey, she Olivia Wilde, who cares! She's gorgeous dressed in a paper bag!

Leighton Meester in all her Grecian glory.

Ok, so this isn't the real Zoe, but a pretty good impression nonetheless. Too funny.
