I started this blog, because of my passion for FASHION...a love I've had ever since I was little. When kidswere playing "House", I was playing "Shop". I would set-up my clothes, shoes, and jewelry around my room like it was a real boutique and beg my older sister to be my "customer". I would constantly sketch clothing designs on my school notebooks, and day dream about fashion and designing. I remember attending the book fair at my elementary school...and when all the kids were buying the Garfield and Goosebump books, I was buying books about the 90's Top Supermodels! I remember watching E! Fashion Files in awe of the big-time runway shows and backstage designer interviews...and only be 7 years old. I'm excited to be able to share my passion with other fashion-obsessors like you! I hope that you find my blog fun, interesting, and inspiring...otherwise I haven't done my job!WORK EXPERIENCE...
I have over 10 years of experience in the retail/fashion industry. I worked my way up the corporate retail ladder...starting as a Sales Associate in high school to a Women's Apparel and Accessories Buyer, post college. I love working in Retail because I love working with customers. I love helping them find outfits that not only make them look good, but make them feel good about themselves! I was also an Assistant to the Style Editor of a local magazine and gained a lot through that experience. It was amazing to see the process from start to finish...from selecting clothing, to styling at the photo shoot, to the spread in the magazine. Currently, I co-design for a humanitarian clothing company called, HALF United. Every time you purchase one of their products you feed a child in need! Those guys are doing amazing stuff, and I'm glad to be a part of it!
MY STYLE...
I would consider my style to be a mix of Bohemian-80's-Native American Inspired-Hippie-Vintage-Chic....so basically it's ALL OVER THE PLACE!! I don't really think about my outfits being "trendy" or not....I really just wear what I like and don't really think about the approval of others.
